I was really fortunate in that I was never waylaid by morning sickness. I know, I know. I apologize to all you mommies out there who were bedridden for months on end because moving would set you off. Really, I am sorry. For about two weeks, I experienced nausea for two hours in the afternoons. It wasn't pleasant, but I timed my naps to coincide with it so it was much easier to manage. Depending on the day, my stomach would churn at even the thought of the fish and meat section of the supermarket, old men on the subway, cigarette smoke, and kimchi! Crackers and water usually helped calm the beast within, but sometimes I was just nauseated because I was hungry, so anything helped! Cravings during the first trimester included: fresh veggies, pickles, olives, Domino's pizza, V8 vegetable juice with garlic salt, and mustard!
