About Us

James and I first met online in September 2006. Thank you, Myspace! James is from New Zealand and I am from the US. I was already living in Korea at that time. After "talking" for 6 months, I decided that I was going to take my dream vacation to New Zealand. James and I first met in person in April of 2007. We hit it off like gangbusters.

By the time it was time for me to come back to Korea, we knew that we wanted to continue seeing each other. A month after my return to Korea, James followed me and started working at my school as an ESL teacher. James proposed to me on my 35th birthday (July 11, 2007) and we married legally here in Seoul on November 29, 2007.

We had a beautiful wedding ceremony in New Zealand on July 4, 2008.

 We became parents for the very first time to Brennan on November 25, 2010. We are currently enjoying parenthood and, most of the time, we feel like we are ROKin it! :-)

November 26, 2010. Brennan was one day old.

We are proud to have a breastfeeding, co-sleeping, bed sharing (as required), attachment parenting, ECing, baby wearing relationship with our daughter!
