Adrenaline?

36 weeks, 2 days

October 21, 2010 started off as a usual appointment day. James and I went to see Dr. Lee (this is the second Dr. Lee as we changed to a different doctor to have the birth we wanted). I was still having trouble regulating my BP. I had a spike in my BP (170/90) and an unusual amount of weight gain (+1.3kg in one week!). Due to this, Dr. Lee took the conservative route and immediately transferred me to Yonsei Severance Hospital -  a tertiary care facility capable of dealing with high risk pregnancies. I ended up having to stay the night for observation (ostensibly to rest, HA!). I begged to go home, but they weren't having any of that. My BP stabilized and I was discharged the next morning. Dr. Kwon, the high risk pregnancy specialist, felt that it was not a pre-eclampsia condition. Possibly gestational hypertension or even a pre-existing condition. After a few weeks, we were given the all clear and I was allowed to go back to the second Dr. Lee! Hooray! We also did maternity photos around the first week of November.
